Widow White

On Dec. 12, 2010, Lord Stirling Stable hosted the Trilogy Repertory Company, based in Basking Ridge, in a Re-Enactment of the Capture of General Charles Lee at Widow White's Tavern in 1776. The event, part of Bernards Township's year-long celebration of its 250th charter anniversary, included horses and riders from Lord Stirling who helped to surround the tavern and "capture" General Lee. The Trilogy production, two years in the planning and making, was run by Jaye and Hank Barre. The event attracted a wide audience of adults and children interested in the history and drama of the presentation. Members of FLSS helped to support the effort.
