| “Dandelion” If you love and understand those quirky mares, Dandelion may be just the girl for you !!! 16 year old 15.1H Appaloosa mare available for adoption as a trail horse. Dandelion is sound, has smooth gaits, and is good on trails. She will require an experienced, confident rider. Once she is familiar with her surroundings, Dandelion is happy to lead you down any trail. Because she has left the schooling program due to being ring sour, we are seeking a home where she will be primarily trail ridden. Dandelion is looking for her own person to bond with. In the right situation, she will blossom and may become your new best friend. Dandelion enjoys the company of geldings and humans but does not get on well with other mares. She was previously in a large herd of mares and was at the bottom of the pecking order. She now seems perfectly content to be alone in her own pasture as she is enjoying being the alpha mare in her own herd of one. Dandelion is an easy keeper – no grain required and does not require shoes as she has very strong feet. Will go English or Western; jumps. Dandelion’s weight limit is 170.
